The BSW, Dorset and Somerset ICBs’ Joint Chief Officer for Population Health Improvement
Amanda Webb was previously Chief Medical Officer at NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire ICB.
Amanda joins BSW, Dorset and Somerset ICBs as Chief Officer for Population Health Improvement having served as Chief Medical Officer for BSW ICB since 2022 and previously as Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Clinical Chair for Swindon. She is dedicated to improving population health and wellbeing, and to addressing the inequities in health, and in life opportunity, for the people of BSW, Dorset and Somerset.
In her previous role, Amanda has led the development of the BSW System Outcomes Framework and has driven system-wide approaches to prevention and health inequalities, securing significant investment to establish multi-agency programmes and drive improvements in outcomes that really matter to our population. She has also established the BSW Health and Care Professional Leadership Network.
Amanda brings a broad range of clinical and executive leadership expertise with over 25 years’ experience in the NHS. She founded and directs the national Phoenix GP career development programme, supporting workforce retention and wellbeing. Having qualified from Cambridge and Oxford University in 2006 she trained in both Paediatrics and General Practice and continues to practice as a frontline GP in Highworth.
Her previous roles include Primary Care Network Clinical Director, CCG Governing Body member and Medical Judge for HM Courts and Tribunals Service.
