Newly merged ICB to host retrospective annual general meeting of former organisations

The annual general meeting for the former three organisations that merged earlier this year to create Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board will be held next month.

Taking place virtually on the afternoon of Thursday 10 September, the AGM will look back on the final year of the individual organisations, and highlight the successes and challenges each faced in the run up to merger.

Members of the public will be encouraged to attend the meeting which, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, will be held virtually via Zoom, the online video conferencing platform.

As well as officially presenting the former organisations’ financial accounts, the meeting will allow guests to submit questions to the current senior management team of the newly merged Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire ICB.

Tracey Cox, Chief Executive, said: “It’s a great shame that our first AGM as this new organisation has to take place in a virtual environment, but it’s hugely important to us that we take this time, so our local community has the opportunity to join us in reflecting on what was an historic year for the local NHS.

“This retrospective look back on the three former ICBs of Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire is a chance to celebrate our achievements, but also acknowledge the challenges that occurred throughout 2019 and the early part of 2020.

“Most importantly, however, the AGM is a chance for our public to put their questions to us directly and while we know many questions will relate to the impact coronavirus has had on local healthcare, we hope our answers will be able to provide some context and reassurance.”

A full agenda for the AGM, as well as instructions on how to join the meeting and submit a question, will be made available in the coming weeks.
