Trowbridge Integrated Care Centre

The new centre is located at Hammersmith Fields, opposite Trowbridge Community Hospital, close to Trowbridge Health Centre

The building opened on Thursday 30 April 2026.

All patient-facing services that were based at Trowbridge Community Hospital have been relocated to the new Trowbridge Integrated Care Centre.

Services based at the new centre will include, but are not limited to:   

• Minor injuries unit   

• Community outpatients   
  
• Audiology

• Maternity, excluding birthing and delivery suites  

• Diagnostics, including X-ray  

• Physiotherapy  

• Podiatry   

• Community-based mental health

Yes, there is an X-ray facility.

Trowbridge Integrated Care Centre is located close to the site of the Trowbridge Community Hospital, meaning people can use the same methods of transport as before when travelling to and from the facility.  

People using public transport can travel to the centre using local buses. The FareSaver 68A and 68A7 services stop within easy walking distance of the centre. Timetables can be found online at www.faresaver.co.uk/trowbridge.

The nearest railway station is Trowbridge, which is located in the town centre and served by local taxis and buses.  

Trowbridge Integrated Care Centre is a 15-minute walk from the town.

The new centre has ample parking for both patients and staff, with the site having a greater number of spaces than the community hospital.  

The postcode of the new centre for those travelling by car and following a sat nav is BA14 8LW. 

The new centre will only be used for outpatient services, meaning there will be no need for patients to stay overnight. 

Now that services have transferred to the new integrated care centre, there is no longer be a need for the former hospital buildings, all of which are outdated and no longer suitable for the delivery of modern healthcare services.

The community hospital is owned by NHS Property Services, which will seek to sell the property and reinvest any profit from its sale to support other local NHS buildings.  

Trowbridge Health Centre is unaffected by the development of the new Trowbridge Integrated Care Centre.  

It will remain open as usual and patients registered at the practice will continue to receive the same services they receive now. 

Yes, the Boots Pharmacy situated at the nearby Trowbridge Health Centre remains open as usual. 

Routine care will continue to take place at all local GP surgeries, and patients will still be able to book appointments in the usual way.  

The building’s £16 million budget has been funded by NHS England, with £3 million of the project’s overall budget being put forward by Wiltshire Council’s community infrastructure levy, which local authorities claim from developers to help boost growth in a specific local area.
