Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board (BSW ICB) is currently reviewing the Long COVID service. We are running a four week public engagement on a proposal for the future of the service and we are asking local people to share their views.
The Long COVID service in BSW started in May 2020. It is provided by HCRG Care Group and offers multi-disciplinary team assessment, referral to specialist services where needed, rehabilitation, peer group support and a virtual seven‑week Healthy Futures Programme.
Referrals to the Long COVID service have fallen significantly. Between May 2020 and August 2022 there were on average 78 referrals per month. This fell to around 20 per month by April 2025, and the latest figures show this is now as low as 12 per month.
The aim of the proposed change is to continue to provide appropriate support to people with Long COVID while responsibly using NHS resources across BSW.
Public feedback on the proposed change is essential before a final decision is made. You can find out more about the proposal here, before completing the online questionnaire here.
We hope you will take this opportunity to share your views with the ICB/us before the engagement closes on Monday 25 May 2026.
