Mental health problems are common across all sectors of society.

It is estimated that in any one year, one in four adults living in the UK will experience at least one diagnosable mental health disorder.

Having good mental health helps us relax more, achieve more and enjoy our lives more.

There are simple things we can all do to look after our mental health and wellbeing:

Evidence suggests there are five steps you can take to improve your mental wellbeing and help you feel more positive and able to get the most out of life:

  • Connect with other people
  • Be physically active
  • Learn new skills
  • Give to others
  • Pay attention to the present moment (mindfulness)

The below video, created and produced by Create Studios, explains how looking after our mental health is MAGIC.
